GoldMine 2018.2 Upgrade

In this version, GoldMine has implemented additional security requirements for GoldMine user passwords. Once the GoldMine is upgraded to the latest version, all users will login to their accounts with their current password but all of the lowercase letters will be changed to uppercase.

 

For example, if your current password is "Password123#", the password after the upgrade will be "PASSWORD123#" .

 

To ensure that this upgrade goes smoothly, we advise that all users change their GoldMine password to one that will meet the new security requirements AFTER the upgrade. If you do not have a password for your GoldMine account, you MUST have a password or else you will not be able to login to GoldMine after the upgrade. We are not liable for time lost if this happens to you. The new upgrade also implements an account locking feature which locks a user account when they fail to enter the correct password 5 times. Please note that if you neglect to follow these instructions and experience downtime the day of the upgrade due to password issues, we are not liable for the downtime caused.

 

We are aware that some users have their GoldMine icon automatically log them into their GoldMine account. If this is the case for a user in your company, please direct them to this guide to configure their GoldMine icon:

I highly suggest they remove the password field from the icon and have each user manually type their passwords on each login.
